According to the Cannon County Minute Book records Jesse was orphaned when his father Levi Patrick died around 1835, which Barbara suggests that Kate (Henderson) Patrick probably predeceased her spouse Jesse Patrick. Records show that Jesse and his brothers and sisters were taken in and reared by William Higgins.
There are seven Henderson marriages listed in "Cannon County, TN Marriages 1838 - 1873," by Bryon and Barbara Sistler 1985.

Box 400, Signal Mountain, TN 37377-0400. There is one Will dated 14 Oct 1848 that of James Taylor. Mentions names of interests: James Robards Taylor, Angus W. Henderson and her son Pleasant Henderson. And James Taylor Henderson. The Will is not clear as to what relationship these people are to the writer of the Will, James Taylor. The name Robards id interesting especially coupled with the name Pleasant Henderson since that points to Robards inter-marriage Warren County TN records that show a Pleasant Henderson marriage to Angus Watts Robards.
